I, too, got a card in the mail about Medicare changes. Telemarketers can legally call you, even on the DNC list, if you have ever had business with them. Sending me a card does not constitute a business relationship. ANYONE who calls me and I haven't done business with them before I consider scammers. Anyway, I don't have Medicare! I'm lucky enough to have affordable insurance with my pension plan with my former employer. So these people and all the other Medicare telemarketers are just targeting people over 62yo. Scumbags every one.
This is simply NOT true! I work there and have for 5 years!! We happen to care about our clients and have many! At Palmetto Senior Benefits we keep you informed or changes and make sure you aren't paying more for you supplemental insurance than you should. If you don't want calls from us simply express that to whomever calls . I know there are alot of evil people in this world, but I have to say that I work with some of the finest people I know!
You are selling insurance. Even if all you are doing "appointment setting",
you should not be calling people who are on the Do Not Call list.

Thats exactly why we warn our Seniors not to trust what anyone tells you on the phone but to call Medicare to ask them if it's ok to look around for better premiums for the plan you have chosen. I always have seniors to look in their Medicare books ( this year on page 100) so that they can read for themselves how a company can charge you what they want for the 20% coverage that you are responsible for. Our Seniors today are being taken advantage of but it's not by us., It's by these high dollar insurance companies who increase your premiums every time you turn around. We simply search out the company that has the lowest rate for the plan ( N, G, F ) etc that you currently have and try and get you approved. We never ask for money, we never ask you to be alone when an agent comes out to see you! We all at Palmetto Senior Benefits have parents who are on Medicare and believe it or not we do care about seniors!
Scammers make our job hard !
