Someone called about government contracts, which I am prusuing, and said it would only cost $795.00 to put me on the list. I don't know if it's a scam or not, but I do know the government does not charge to be on any of the lists I have seen.
I googled "FSG GSA" and it looks like a real business that provides software to the government, for a price.
I'm a small business Federal contractor. Got a call from 864-297-4663 asking me (the owner) what company I was? Huh? They don't identify themselves. I got a call a while ago as well from a different number, 727 area code, pitching me something about spending money to get government contracts. I'll just go the www.fbo.gov route and other legitimate means.
I got a call on March 8th, 09 Left a message regarding federal grant..Her name was Angie White. I returned the call but needed to leave a voice mail message. Glad I saw this site...to many bad people out there.
Asking who does my Federal Government bids. I asked her to clarify what kind of information she was looking for. She asked if I was a small business. I didn't answer but asked if she was with the Federal Government or a representative of the Federal Government.
Her response was rather vague, but said she was with a "Federal Supplier."
I do own a small business, but have never bid on a Federal contract. If the call had come into my business phone line I might have responded differently, but when it came into my home number I knew it was fishy. If someone knew I was a business, why would I answer the phone saying "hello?"
