Glad I saw this site. The one that called me said her name was Connie Carol. She did the whole "no-bid government contract" bit, asked if we were a small business and gave me the 864-297-4663 number for the "owner or CEO of the company" (she didn't know who the owner is, which I found odd becuase most ordinary telemarketers will look it up and ask for the owner by name to trick the secretary into thinking the owner knows them). Connie then hung up abruptly when I asked the name of her company. I've gotten several calls like this before, but when Connie slammed the phone down, I got suspicious that this was a "phishing" call, rather than a mere telemarketer. I used to send a note to my boss. I won't bother now. Thanks!
