Just received a call from this number this morning. Within a few seconds of him speaking, I asked him, "Are you Nigerian?" He laughed and said "Yes". Then he proceeded to tell me about himself and his company. I asked him for a website address and he gave me this one: federalsupplies.com
I went to the site and all that was there were the words in the upper left hand corner: "under website construction".
I told him that and he sort of shut down mentally. I tried to let him off the hook by saying, "They should have told you it was under construction before you tried to call me. That's not your fault." He sort of stammered and then quickly ended the call.
I also received a business call that left a message about government contracts. Definitely a scam. I noticed they have posted job vacancies on career builders, no relation to government contracts. My company has recently had a lot of attempted "scams" with credit cards on our web site, so I must say I am a little wary of phone calls such as this.
This seems to be a scam trying to sell GSA Contract for selling to the Federal Government. Many false statements were made by the person on the phone who called himself Russell. I asked him to mail me the information via regular mail and he told me they could only supply the info via email or fax. He tried to trial close me for a $6k fee. He also hung up when I told him to send me the info and I would call back if I was interested.
Called our business at 9:00 on Monday morning soliciting for federal bid programs. Appears to have gotten our business information off the GSA website. Scam solicitation call with no affiliations or empowerment to act on the behalf of the federal bidding program.
