They called me 3 times in the past 2 days and I told them I am not the guy they are looking for. Same name but I don't even have an account with the people they are collecting for. Ridiculous.
Called me several times over the past couple of weeks without leaving a message. When I returned the call a lady asked for my name and telephone number. I gave the info at which point she told that I was not in their database. She then asked me for my social security number so that she could verify that I didn't have an account in collections with them. I asked her if she was crazy. She told me that if I didn't give her my social that I would have a big surprise on my credit report. I let her know that I was going to give my social and then she hung up.
this company has called since Yesterday 23 times. the first time they called I told them, hubby wasn't avail but I was his wife could i help them (didn't know they were collections), then told them we filed bk gave attorneys info (calls should have stopped then and there) and then told them they broke ma law by telling a spouse what the debt was about (ma law forbids spouse disclosure if it's a sole owner account). They haven't taken the hint, I finally called over to their office and spoke with the quality controler and told him he could send my 22,000 check in the mail for the violations to the FDCPA and bankruptcy laws. He actually laughed and stated MA doesn't have that law. So I politely directed him on where to find the statuate. I don't think I will see my money but they haven't called today
