First got a call from 866 365 5790, caller ID showed "800 Service" which I never answer 800 numbers. Just as soon as the phone stopped ringing, I get a call from 864 331 5700 showing as LEVEL 1 in the caller ID. It's the same collection company. Since I didn't pick up the 800 number they called right back from a number 864 area code from South Carolina trying to fool me to pick up the phone.
Have been getting calls from Capital Business Agency
regarding a Sear's account no longer using, I told them I would contact Sear's myself that I need for them to be calling me and threating, I don't them the money if I do owe money I will communicate with Sear. She hung up.
I happen to work for this so called "scam" company. Yes, I am the bad guy. I collect debts all day long to be able to pay my bills. To read these comments is a little irritating. I know what goes onin the office, I hear the same freakin sob story everyday!!! We call because its our JOB! When someone picks up and says wrong number and hangs up, that does nothing for us! We have to verify that the number that was dialed matches our screen so we can delete it. If yall hang up....guess what....we can't verify....so the calls continue. The numbers come up on a dialer, its not like we push the buttons ourselves.as for the social security number....we verify only the last 4 digits. BY LAW WE HAVE TOO! Honestly, giving someone the last 4 digits is in no way harmful. Who do u know that will take only the last 4 of the ssn to process a loan, credit card, or any kind of application for that matter? Um....u guessed it...NOBODY! Would u like everyone and their mama knowing that u owe 1000 in credit cards? Probably not. and besides, we have ur full ssn, dob, credit report, and access to any info we need. Why the hell is it so hard to verify the last 4? As for the people who just ignore their debt and get pissed when we call....look in the mirror. Ask yourself why we call.....have you found the answer yet? OOOOO,,,,I know! Its because YOU, and only YOU didn't pay YOUR damn bill! Despite the circumstances of why you didn't pay...YOU STILL OWE IT!!! Plain and simple. Only one solution to the problem....PAY IT! If you pay what is owed, the calls will stop. See how that works? Easy as 1,2,3!! We work with the poor and we work with the rich....so before you scream at, hang up on, or just be a [***] to us, think about why your getting the call. Not because me...but YOU!!!
