I got a call from a rather obnoxious woman on 3/21/2012. She asked for me by name and company. I'm far away from South Carolina so I'm guessing they either bought a list or compiled a list of companies with "Consult" in their names from Google or some such.
Not sure what she wanted (I can't validate the speculation above) but when I asked "What do you want?" she kept asking "are you <my name>?" finally. I said yes and followed it up with another "what do you want?"
Finally, she said "so I guess you don't want a five year contract with the Federal government" and hung up. What do you know? She called me to tell me something I already knew. Maybe she's a budding reference librarian? Or not. :)
Received a call from a guy that talked as if he was a robot on a recording, asked for the CEO by name, said he was calling in regard to a federal contract. We work with the government, so I asked him which contract he was calling in reference to. That through him off, so he robotically repeated the things he'd already said after stuttering a second. I told him I'd take a message for the CEO and left it at that. He said his name was Eric Freeman and he was with GSA South Carolina. We do zero business in SC.
I received a call from Eunice Berhearth this morning. They identified themselves as being a consulting firm for GSA. "General Services Administration" I was offered a guarantee to gain a 5 year contract with the federal government. I work in many states but SC is not one of them. I politely asked them to remove me from the contact list and they insisted on working with them to get the contract. It finally ended up with me hanging up on them.
Message from "Randy Vaughn" to get a 5 year GSA contract. Call back 864.438.3285 ext 3015. Give him a call and get 'your' 5 year GSA contract. :) Duh....
