Exactly same as above, according to Ace. In my case, they first claimed to be calling from Delta. Only after I asked them for clarification did they say that they represented "Affordable Vacations".
Received a call on my CELL phone; said she was from Grand Discovery (very thick accent, although decent English) wanting me to come to the Grand Opening in Simpsonville, SC and for our time, she will give us 2 plane tickets round trip to the destiny of our choice. I told her I didn't fly - thanks for calling and hung up
It got a call from so called America airlines in Sacramento nut call is from South Carolina and that i won two tickets round rip and all i need to receive them was my time so i listened and after he talked he said for me to stay on the line so i could speak to his supervisor but i just hung up Sam alert!!!
I've gotten 3 calls from them on the cell phone and I'm on the do not call list. The first 2 times, they said they were with United Airlines and they were celebrating the grand opening of their new terminal in Denver and wanted to invite me and loved one to the grand opening. I just got a call today and they said they were with Grand [Something] International in Sacramento. I asked the lady three times to repeat her company name and could barely understand her because of her very thick accent. I was polite and asked for her company's mailing address and she hung up on me. What kind of LEGIT company would hang up on a customer for asking what their name and address were. SCAM!
Very hard to understand because of background call center noise. SOmething about a travel club. (864) 768-6545 Trip to Richardson Texas or something. I very politely asked how they got my number and was hung up on. Rude way of dealing with a potential customer. CLaimed not to be a timeshare but a travel club. When they will not engage in a simple answer to a question then I should figure it out that is some scam or company with a bad reputation.
Call saying I would get two RT tickets on Southwest Airlines to anywhere I wanted free of charge. Wanted my name and all kinds of information. I stated that they called me why would you not have my name. She said my nuimbers was referred to her so I asked her not to call back.
