I give to St Jude's sometimes. They wanted me to become a partner and donate monthly. Only $15 a month and I was encouraged to visit the hospital. I think it is a worthy charity but I told the woman I donate to other charities as well and could not afford $15. She suggested $10 a month. I said no and asked to be taken off their call list.
I get bombarded with charity phone calls. It's too much already. They try to wear you down. Stay strong.
My caller ID shows anonymous. i called the number back and listened to the whole spiel about St. Jude's. It gave me the option to hear more, so I did, which eventually led to an option to remove my number from their calling list. It said that it may take up to 30 days...we'll see what happens.
As a followup to my January post regarding this number - they call everyday-LITERALLY! Some days they call several times. Absolutely frustrated with this!
I give to St Judes but only by mail. I thought St Judes was above using telemarketers. Does anyone know for certain if these people work for St judes? Why would they use an anonymous caller ID?
