I just received a phone call from a female automated caller saying the irs is suing me and that I need to call this phone number (903) 326-9521. I know that this is a scam and I will not fall for it, but I do worry about senior citizens falling prey to these scams!!
I just received a call from this number, I let it go to voicemail and then called back. They asked me if I was Ms so and so and started telling me my address. Then they said a bench warrant has been issued for me. I started giving them attitude and they said would I like to have the local authorities come pick me up. I also mentioned that it was funny that the IRS doesn't call people... Then I got a little more upset with them and every time I started to talk after that, they would start pressing phone buttons. I asked him to stop and he said it was me.. please---really??..so I couldn't say anything else because he was still pushing buttons and then he hung up on me.
