Just got a VM that they need access to read my meter. Sounded legit. Didn't ask for info or anything. Just please assist the PSEG person tomorrow with access. Not surprising, all three apts in my bldg work all day. It was a pre-recorded message also, same as when they're looking for money, lol.
Received this automated call today from PSE&G saying that they have been unable to check the meter inside the house for too long and must have access to read the physical meter. Sounds reasonable to me.. So talk to me and come when I don't have to take a day off work or upgrade your meters so you can read them remotely.
Just got a call and voice message from this number claiming to be PSEG. Like the last two commenters here it was in regards to meter reading. I was not asked to return a call and nothing regarding billing. The message played through in English and again in Spanish.
Plan on calling PSEG later through their official customer service to determine if this is a legit problem or not.
Says it's PSE&G calling to say haven't had access to my meter and coming to read tomorrow - I'm in an apt building, ALL meters are in the basement - and they know this. Don't know how legit this call is.
