Another criminal ripping off the public and using Verizon's name to do it. DO NOT CALL THESE DIRTBAGS BACK! Call Verizon directly and let them know you are being harrassed by thieves using their name, let them chase the [***] down.
Ironic isn't it? Verizon does nothing to stop these calls at the source when they probably easily could by using a complaint system like this very website. [Let's face it... although the spoofed numbers are many, the originating sources are probably few.] They certainly should be able to trace the real source number and shut them down, but they don't. Why? Do they want you to buy their blocking tool and make more money? But by not blocking this one, people are tricked into picking up "VERIZON" on the ID, and the company gets a bad rap - deserved or not. Well, in my mind, it is deserved this time - They should have blocked this one in the first place, and then institute a concerted program to stop this insanity. Maybe work alongside the FCC... now there's a concept!
BTW, probably 60-70% of my home calls now are spam. Just another reason to disconnect my landline. Sorry, Verizon.
The guy was crying and I thought it was a scam technique......but then he confessed he was gay and could not tell any of the other guys he worked with even though he really liked one of them...I told him to just quit and to find it within himself to admit what he really is....then I said I had to go since he was a spammer and I am not a therapist......
I got a call about an hour ago from this number and it was a 'computer' telling me that my 'internet' company asked them to call me, so I could add on a 'security system' to my home. I just hung up. They called again a minute ago, but the call just hung up with no one talking.
Had a call earlier today, when I answered there was nothing. Robo call just a bit ago for "gov't approved" discounts on electric rate - pressed 1 to speak to a live troll, who rattled off the name so fast that I missed part of it - when I asked her to repeat the company name, she hung up - so, it's obviously a scam!
