Call from "windows" which I have had numerous times. They want to gain control of your computer to fix a serious problem. Dangerous for people who might not understand what they are doing!
Display says New Jersey. I answer, no reply. It's as if the receiver is being held against the guy's chest. He is yelling to someone else my last name, but he's spelling it - emphatically and slowly. I keep saying hello... no reply. Finally I am disconnected. This number has called me before.
I just got a call from them. Funny how you can lead them on. The longer you keep them on your line and keep them busy, they are not abusing someone else who may be trapped by these criminals. I've kept them busy for 30 minutes. I ask them which of my computers had been hacked and then ask what the key code for the operating system that has been hacked. It is fun to hear the guy lose it after wasting so much.
My wife dose the same thing, but plays the inexperianced user. She fumbles her way through their instructions and makes them repeat things a lot.
We usually are not even at our computers, but make a lot of shuffling sounds so they think we are doing as they say.
I hope it saves some innocent person from being hacked by these criminals. And I hope it makes the people who do these despicable acts lose money when they waste their time trying to screw people.
