Steppingstone is a company that peddles "family-friendly" (religious) movies. The owner, Brian, is very talkative and generally polite, but if you don't personally ask him to stop calling you, he'll continue at all hours of the day (from spoofed phone numbers all over the U.S.), until you're driven to insanity. What he SHOULD be doing is marketing his products through churches, where he'd have s more receptive audience, instead of giving himself a terrible reputation as a merciless telemarketer. In a way, I feel sorry for him. Telephone sales (especially cold-calling) is a horrible, depressing way to make a living. In a nutshell, Steppingstone is annoying as hell, but harmless; not a criminal enterprise, as some here have stated.
Scam!! It calls every day at 8 am sharp and then several times more a day!! Sick of them! We never pick up. How can I stop them from calling? Supposedly I'm on the "do not call this Number" list, but that doesn't work!!!
Accidentally answered this # because the area code was the same as a family member & we were having a family emergency at the time, gotta learn to never answer the phone without my glasses on! My solution in the past was to purchase a Digiton Call blocker and enter the numbers of unwanted callers. Works great but its about full, may have to get another one. I am not trying to advertise for this company (Digiton) there may be other products that do the same job, but it's been a life saver for me!
This mindless pervert called our clubhouse one time too many. With the help of our web server brain child, we were able to get a fix on area where some of these calls are originating. The chick associated with these puss sacks blabbed too much in a bar one night and gave us some good leads. Some stones are going to get stepped on real soon, you will hear the scream.
Caller ID stated "Stepping Stones." MY TRICK: I answered the phone "Bonjour?" When the person asked for me, I once again say "Bonjour?" The person pauses and and asks for me again. At this point, I say "Bonjour? Comme talle vou??" The caller then says Have a great day and hangs up!! NOW, I don't speak French at all. I just picked up this phrase from a Burger King commercial and decided to use it. Works like a charm on all unwanted calls.
