Talked to Verizon - they say they don't call from any number like that.  Hang up and call Verizon directly if you get this call.

I'm not the principle account holder on a family plan and they were calling me...someone has a swatch of Verizon account information and they'll farming it for people who are willing to give their credit card in order to "prevent their account from being disconnected".  While they have names and numbers, they do not have accurate billing information.

Never give payment information to someone that calls you.  Call them, at a number that you know to be reliable.
