I received the Bueno Neighbors card too. My card had 2 different phone numbers for NM also telling me to ask for Barbara; Albq 505-881-4998 and Santa Fe 1-800-574-3599. They also claimed to have a "parcel" for me (parcel # NB 0704-73). Me, being a new homeowner, I had received multiple gift cards from Lowe's and Home Depot, so I called (like an idiot). I just moved in so I didn’t have the internet yet and I should have waited and checked first but…. They claimed to have been in business for 21 years (which is very fishy compared to the previous statement of 81 years) and worked with the local banks to provide their service free of charge. They wanted my name, how many people lived in my home, and my schedule (when I would and wouldn’t be home) wanting to do a water treatment. They were willing to come out between 7:30 and 8:00pm. After thinking it over, I immediately called and cancelled my appointment. I had to call 3 times before someone would answer the phone. I have already called the Detective Dept. about this and made it known to anyone I know buying a home. I have no proof one way or another that this is a scam but something is definitely not right!
The gift certificate had www.ecowater.com listed on it, so I checked it out. This site seems reasonable. Looks like the wrong group of Fayetteville hicks got deal as a dealer though.

Check out the dot near Fayetteville... The address is the one that I found earlier.
Gotta admit, this whole thing was entertaining, but that's about where the benefits stop. If you're smart enough to have google'd the phone number before calling, congrats. Otherwise, call em' back and tell them you don't need no stinking water treatment!!!!!
This is my last post (at least for this phone number!!!)
We got two cards (one for Home Depot) and one Bueno Neighbors. They've called, too, before we were on the Do Not Call list. Lame. Don't call, people. Your water's fine. Or buy a Brita. :)

I have seen this number on my caller ID for the past 2 weeks, and wanted to know who it was because they never left a message. I'm glad I did some research before I called back. I moved to Fuquay Varina about 6 months ago and ever since I had my phone connected I have been getting tons of sales calls.
Thanks everyone for the info. We just bought a house in Sanford, NC, and I recognized it was a Fayetteville area code, but figured I would do a quick search before calling, and I guess it was a good move on my part (for once!)
