This is the second night in a row that we have gotten a call from this number. Caller ID says the name of the company who is calling is Payday, but I have no idea of who they are and I have no idea what they want. They won't say anything at all when we pick up the phone. I have blocked the number from calling us here anymore.
Got a call from this number with "PAYDAY" as the caller ID. A woman with a severe accent start mumbling something about computer problems, so I hung up on her. 30 seconds later she called back and said "we must have been disconnected." I said "No we weren't disconnected, I hung up" and I "disconnected" her again. Haven't heard back yet, but I'm sure this isn't the end of it.
Said he was from windows technical support and that I had malicious files downloaded onto my computer. I almost believed him because I was having a lot of trouble with my computer at that time. So much so that I actually bought a new one. He said my new computer would be infected with the same files because a gateway was left open. I told him that I would talk to Comcast my internet provider about it and he said that no other company anywhere could fix this problem. That's when I knew he was full of [***].
Caller said they were from Windows and had been receiving messages from my computer that it was infected. They wanted to walk me through the process to remove the infection and they were the only ones who could do it. I hung up on them.
