I called the hospital on the other line to confirm and they said my bill was $37, not the $590 he was asking for, because my insurance paid most of it, and they did not retain him. I just got a 2nd call from this office about an unpaid hospital bill. Threatened to close the account as unpaid. I called my insurance carrier and they never received an invoice from doctors I never heard of. I was told it is illegal for them to try and collect on a Medicaid insured. I called them back and told them I would report them to the state if they harassed me again.
