Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID.
The caller allows the phone to ring at least 15 times. Call is from 919-229-4576, Wake Forest. When I finally answered Recorded message told me that if I didn't call 877-228-0244 today charges for fraud would be filed against me the following day. The second call within about a minute mentioned bad checks & that I am the emergency name to be called. Can't these people be stopped? I went thru this a couple of months ago for a credit card at Wells Fargo and know well I've never had a credit card w/Wells Fargo.
I just received a recorded message just like Jackie. Called from 919-229-4576 Wake Forest, NC. Recorded message bout a civil complaint stating if I didn't call today charges would be filed against me the following day. The lady said something about bad checks and I was an emergency contact to be called.
Yes I just got the same call. Saying respond to this summons number then went blank and she's started talking again. I have several calls from groups like this. First off to appear in court they have to serve you called due process.I called them back before and they told me the cops would be at my door in 15 mins. So I called the cops and said could you please come to my house. I waited the 15 plus another till the cops got here. Called Jackie back and asked where her cops and processor was and she said they are on the way. During this time my phone was on speakers the cops called it in and had nothing about it. I then sprung the surprise on Jackie and said hold on. Gave the phone to the cop he talked she talked and no charges are being filed for fraud through false pretense and also federal charges could follow. Don't fall for what ever they said it is a big scam.
