Called on my cell, don't pick up for strange calls, left no msg. Caller id only showed from Dayton Tx. Get too many of these kinds of calls, why bother?

"online update" on the caller ID. No message because I unplugged the answering machine. Just wanted to see how long it would ring.

The phone companies have the power to stop these calls, but they won't because they make money from every call placed, selling spoofed numbers to the scammers, and again from us when we buy caller ID. Why stop!
These calls will never stop until we come down on the phone companies and eliminate this illegal practice.
