Got a bad GOP-ish push poll, switched to the boiler room, and cut off when I asked too many questions. On CB I was told this was a CID mixup with "a nursing group". Put Political Call in quotes - gives a bad name to we statisticians and poll writers (independent and party-affiliated).
<btw> A thought for the day: There is NO SUCH THING as an "Independent" voter in the US. If you don't choose to be a member of the Democratic or Republican party, or dozens of local and state parties (AMONG the largest in the East: the Green Party, New York State's Conservative Party <the Liberal Party closed down a decade ago>; The Mao-ist Socialist Workers Party run by a U of Ct. proff., <the old unrelated CPUSA - Communist Party of the United States died with long-time head Gus Hall>, several groups calling themselves the Populist Party <ranging from neo-Nazis to left-of-center "do what the people want" folks>; and the fading fast Libertarian Party.)
Don't participate, or at least sign up for a party, you are an Unaffiliated Voter - I'm a member of one of the Big 2 - lets me help choose candidates, but vote all over the ticket if the best person isn't my party's pick - that makes many party members petty Independent and Affiliated too.
I have had a call from this number twice a day for the past week, and I do not answer. I'm in Kamloops, BC, Canada and on the DNC registry here in Canada
Unfortunately, with an unlimited bank of numbers to call, the scammers will find some gullible citizens, most likely down and out seniors, who will submit their credit card info and watch their money fly.away.
How can I block this number? they call and the call does not go through. When I cal back I get the message that they are not available. It is a bother.
Independent Survey Group/Political Opinions free cruise scam yet again. Instead of a Washington state number like the last 5 or 6 before, they used an Oregon one this time.
