Got this 971-208-9984 call too, and I’m from Yukon, Canada!
Beware American voters! This ‘political survey’ scam is just like the robocall scam that Canadian voters were put through last federal election (May 2011) by the Harper Party (aka Conservative Party) scammers. They ‘surveyed’ folks just like this, and those who said they don’t support the Harper Party were called back on voting day by someone posing as an electoral officer and provided with false information on where to vote, so that folks ended up unable to vote. Or they were posing as calling on behalf of the other political party and were insulting or obnoxious. If you do an internet search on this story, you’ll see it’s been a big scandal in Canada recently, and the Harper Party is being investigated.
Also, it’s been reported on this 800notes website at 613-688-3265. I got that call too, that why I know.
Beware American voters! Don’t answer that 971-208-9984 caller, because they will blacklist you for further harassment if you support the ‘wrong’ party. Better yet, report this scam to your electoral watchdogs. Now which of your political parties is the equivalent of the ultra right Canadian ‘Harper Party’ (aka Conservative Party).

Maybe the police can't trace the bogus numbers but the people who are calling you have a web site and here it is: http://www.independentsurveygroup.org/index.aspx. These are obviously the people who want less government regulation so they can continue to harass and scam people with credit card scams thinly disguised as bogus political surveys and do so legally. Whatever the phone number the scam is the same and they most likely get your name and number from the Do Not Call Registry so take it off. Sometimes the call display will even say Ind Sur for independent survey. Report them and vote Democrat because they don't want you to.
