If you have an answering machine, you can outfox these predators. Record Special Information Tones (see the attached url to hear them) at the beginning of your outgoing message. This tells anyone using an autodialer that the number is out of service. A real person won't care, but then they have to listen to you tell them off. I've used these tones for the past few years and the number of telemarketing calls has dropped. I sincerely hope it helps other people to avoid these pests.
I've had many calls lately from this number. If I don't answer they don't leave a mesage, if I do they do the 'opinion on the present economy' thing. Quite frankly mine or anyone else's opinion on the economy is moot - what can we do about it, we are at the mercy of the greedy banks & whoever is running the country at the time, it doesn't matter which country you live in. I just hang up - maybe that is why they call back...it's not because I have been carefully `chosen` otherwise they would know I don't have a credit card! They are calling anyone & everyone whoever falls for the free 2 day cruise (whoopee!!) is a sucker. 2 days - they must do a quick tour of Tampa Bay & back!
