If you have an answering machine, you can outfox these predators. Record Special Information Tones (see the attached url to hear them) at the beginning of your outgoing message. This tells anyone using an autodialer that the number is out of service. A real person won't care, but then they have to listen to you tell them off. I've used these tones for the past few years and the number of telemarketing calls has dropped. I sincerely hope it helps other people to avoid these pests.
Just received a call from this number - I'm in Surrey BC. I don't answer calls tht I don't recognize. Went to v-m - partial message said to press a certain number now to connect to someone to lower my credit card debt - I don't have any credit card debt.
For the last couple of months, I've been receiving at least one or two calls from numbers identified on caller display as Washington or Oregon. I've googled all the numbers and they are all scams, etc.
I wish there was a way to prevent reciving of these calls. I subscribed to the no-call-list a long time ago but obviously that hasn't worked.
On Do Not Call Registry and live in Ontario and call constantly and at all hours .. no message left or when you pick up - don't say anything, disconnect
