If you have an answering machine, you can outfox these predators. Record Special Information Tones (see the attached url to hear them) at the beginning of your outgoing message. This tells anyone using an autodialer that the number is out of service. A real person won't care, but then they have to listen to you tell them off. I've used these tones for the past few years and the number of telemarketing calls has dropped. I sincerely hope it helps other people to avoid these pests.
I live in Ontario and just got a call from this number. I let the answering machine pick up as I did not recognize the number. No message was left. I am getting numerous calls like this lately and at all hours. This is a hazard for seniors as it is difficult for them to always be running for the phone.
Getting three to four calls a day from scammers this number is on my caller id 4 times (no msg.) im on the do not call list.. punk's like this should get real jobs and stop bothering good hardworking people. thank you 800notes use your site too often unfortunatly
July 17/12 just received call from this # - I did not let my voice activate it so it was a 'hang up'. Wish our telephone providers can somehow block these callers
