The FCC does not care! Most of these numbers on the caller id are fake with fake info. These scum bags know they can get away with it. They put in fake numbers and fake info. They generally scam the old. Its time to write you senator and congressman.
I just received a call from this number. I did not answer, as I never answer calls from numbers I do not know. If they are reputable, they will leave a message and I can call back. No message left, of course.

I got a call from (971)373-0141 on my DNC-registered cell phone just before noon today. I was not able to answer the call at the time, but they left no message. I did not notice the missed call until evening. I would be most interested in lowering the interest rate on my credit card. First, I would have to get one. I wonder if they would help me get one so they could lower the interest rate. But, alas, calling back only gets the recorded message to press "1" if I want to be removed from their call list. I guess I'll have to find some other way of getting a credit card.
Called my cell phone. "Heather" from credit services. Pressed 2 to discontinue further notices and it still went to a human. They said hello and i told them to remove my number. They hung up immediately.
called me & hung up after they heard my answer machine come on. Caller ID said unknown caller.
Caller ID on line has no info on this fake phone number.
If they have to hide who they are when they call someone like this, they're a scam outfit to begin with.
