Received numerous calls from this number. They will not accept your call unless you unblock caller ID. Did so and got to the message which stated that I should press "1" at any time to have my number removed from their list. Did so approx. 2 months ago, but am still receiving calls. Probably should not have done that -- they now know that they have a valid phone number.
I am on the Do Not Call List yet these asshats continually call me. They called twice in the last 24 hours. It's some kind of credit card consolidation scam.
I got a call from this number today, caller ID Dummy Courses, answered it, don't know why I never answer these types of calls, heard a recording for this company to lower my interest rates on a credit card that I don't even have! Then they gave me the option of hearing more press 1 and opting out of future calls press 2 so of course I pressed 2 thinking that it was a telemarketer, some lady answered and asked how I was I said fine (with attitude) then she asked if I pressed 1, I said no and she couldn't hang up fast enough.
I keep getting unwanted messages including this one about lowering my credit card interest rate from the phone number 971-373-0141. I pressed "1" and got a real person who spoke very broken English. I stated I wanted these calls to end and my name to be removed from their files. I was hung up on while I was still speaking. I have registered my number with the Don't Call website, and yet these invasions continue to occur.
These scammers are spoofing the Caller ID information that we see. I highly doubt that they're actually calling from Oregon. They could very well be overseas and are phishing for credit card information from people stupid enough to fall for their scam. Never give any of your personal information to these people. Report each and every scam call you receive to www.donotcall.gov.
