Call came in at 10:17 am PDT on 28-April-2012; wasn't home; no msg left on ans machine. Returned call and after at least 5 rings, an automated female voice recordiing said that we have been called by a national marketing organization, but did not give the orgn name, Then it said to press 1 at any time to be removed from further calls. I pressed 1 and the recording said to wait 24 hours for our number to be removed from their call list. Note that our number is on the federal DNC list, but these scammers continue to ignore this law.
Yep, same ol' same ol' as everyone else...Soooooooooooo tired of these annoying calls..even if I DO let them to to voice mail and they don't leave a message! I've been getting them for political garbage, but see others have telemarketing issues with them too.
The Do Not Call List does not keep these scammers from calling. Sadly, they keep calling because some folks continue to willingly contribute their hard earned money to these scammers. Even sadder still, these folks continue to vote for the legislators that created the Do Not Call List and who continue to tell us it works.
