Tell them you are recording the call.  They know what they are doing is illegal & don't want to be recorded.  They usually curse & hang up.  And for God's sake....don't send these scammers any money!!!

I kept getting the same message as you all are going through and Kevin Harper. This person name is Anthony and the phone number kept changing. They sent me a letter docusign and I am skeptical when it comes to those docusign signature over the internet or online. There are no file or case number. It was a statement about agreement payment settlement. It scared me when they kept doing that and leaving me unknown. I looked up and found your comments and I had to block that number. I had to go through my credit report to find out about the debts I owe. I hope I did the right thing. Please advise.

Do not sign or agree to anything!   This is a total scam.  Ignore them.  Basically they are trying to scare you into paying them something.  Don't fall for it.  Don't contact them and DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY OR AGREE TOO!

If you have received a call stating:

1. You have defrauded a financial institution
2. You owe an unpaid payday loan
3. You have a warrant due to an unpaid loan
5. You will receive a court summons
6.  Authorities are coming to arrest you
7.  Anything similar to above,
a.   Do not give them any information or verify any information for them
b.   Tell them you know they are a scam operating illegally and that you are   filing a complaint with the  appropriate authorities
* File a complaint with the FBI on their Internet Crime webpage     http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
* File a complaint with the Attorney General for the state you live in
The more information and complaints there are, the better the chance of getting these criminals to stop (or at least reduce the frequency).    [abstracted from another site]
They continue to bother  you, tell them you are going to the police to make a complaint of extortion.

Received a call from a man named Kevin Harper telling me I have officially been notified that I have committed check fraud and all sort of other accusations. I'm just ignoring it, I know I haven't done anything of the sort.
