Collection call violating federal laws. The collection is on a grown (over 40) step child. Told me they would not take my phone number off their records.
Tired of answering calls at work that of no importance.... "Let me speak to the owner", "Is _____ in" . Continue interrupting and making office staff less productive. The [***]!
"Eddie" from Bowen & Associates called the business asking for the owner. My job is answering the phones and I have done it long enough to smell a fishing expidition when I see a number and hear the shpeal. Bowen & Associates is at 345 McDonnell St., Suite 6, Lewisville, TX 75057, and they "assist with financial recovery efforts" and "past due receivables". When I informed him that we do not have problems with collecting payment from our customers. His sassy answer was, "you are not the owner are you". My reply - "No, I am not, BUT I have the athority to tell you to take our name off your calling list." CLICK.
Called the office line and left a voice mail, someone from Bowen and Associates. From what I have read they are third party debt collectors, probably just trying to solicit work collecting my accounts receivables. Don't need their help so will block their calls.
