got a call at 6:17 pm from this woman that sounded half awake or on drugs and said she was calling for my step father about windows his windows computer...no joke just like that.smh..this woman then says it has a virus.i told her i work with computers and i would know if anything was wrong and told her i would report her and hung up.these kind of calls are getting horrible in the us and need to be stopped!!
Got a call today they just said hello & hung up. But here's the thing, not more than half an hour earlier my laptop locked up. Screen said something to the effect that Microsoft is locking my computer because it's been affected by a virus & to call some 844 phone # for support from Microsoft & they'd tell me how to remove it. Now my laptop won't work anymore because it's got a virus.
Call from "Microsoft tech support"... my computer has a virus. I like to act shocked and helpless and then ask "will this cost a lot? do you want my credit card number now? do you need my social security number too?" They usually say yes and then after a pause, they say something rude and hang up. Schmucks.
