Today's story was this person who could barely speak English was calling from "The Treasury Department in Washington, DC." They knew my name but called me "Mr. (first name)." He hung up when I started hurling epithets.
Number blocked - for all the good it will do.
Received call from 973-404-7975. They fished for credit card, address, and other personal information. Verified after call they were not calling from the company I thought they were. Attempted to call the number back and it was a disconnected Verizon number. Reported to my CC company.
Answered immediately. The man on the other end said he was the Pope. I said, "Oh Yeah?" He said, "Hell yeah!", made fart noises for ten seconds and then hung up. This is why I'm not Catholic anymore: The damned fart noises.
Just got the call now. He claimed a computer was added to my system and needed Spyware removed. I told him "Goodbye" and hung up. Accent from India, as well. Didn't have these problems under previous administrations. Enough said.
