Today's story was this person who could barely speak English was calling from "The Treasury Department in Washington, DC." They knew my name but called me "Mr. (first name)." He hung up when I started hurling epithets.
Number blocked - for all the good it will do.
Because they are criminals. And criminals generally don't follow the rules.

The DNCL isn't a call blocker, it's just a list that legitimate companies purchase and abide by. Criminals, however, will just call every number that exists looking for a sucker.
