Have been calling several times a day for over a month. They are trying to solicit payment history information for our customer to build their "payment history" database.
They make it seem like an urgent matter with a case number asking us to resolve this important matter for our customer. The number they leave to call back just rings with no answer. 866-658-3140
I called the 973-929-3290 number and told them what happened with the other number, that we do not give out that kind of information about our customers, and to please stop calling. They pretend not to know anything about it then transfer me back to the unanswered 866 number. I did get put through to someone's voice mail after calling the 973 number back after they put me through to the unanswered 866 number. I again asked them to stop calling, that we do not give out that information, and that we are seriously annoyed at the interruptions and wasted time and resources. They called again after that in the afternoon. Complaint filed with FTC and will never do business with D&B or its affiliates again.
Received voicemail from this number (to my office phone) stating they are from Dunn and Bradstreet trying to reach management for my company (I am not management at this company) regarding the credit profile for this company.
I received a call from this number stating that the caller was from Dunn & Bradstreet who wanted to verify if my home address was an official office of my employer. He called on my work phone. I reported this call to my employer since it did not seem to be a valid call in the dark.
I received the same call. I told the person that I do not give out information to people who call me. Then I asked for a website to research their company. She gave me www.dnb.com also a call back number of 800-872-4349 and a case #. Something just seems off with this kind of cold calling. I would not reccomend anyone to give out any information at all......
