Not in the 978 area code, but close to it. Have been getting calls every other day for a couple of weeks now. A couple of times I answered there was a man on the line with a very heavy accent so I couldn't understand what he was saying; something to the effect of 'me or someone asking about procedures of going back to school'; very strange. I had to hang up since he kept on talking, basically incoherently.
I get a call 2 to 3 times a week from 978-664-5909. Same as other complaints, when I answer, someone or something hangs up. When I call back, I get "this no. is not in service". How can I get calls from a no. not in service? This call is coming from a Verizon provider.
I got a call today. It went right onto my blocked number list... this is exactly why I bought a phone with call blocking last year. I waited for the christmas sale and got it at a cheap price. It works great. I would advise everyone to get one. Its the only way to beat 'em at their own game.
