Not in the 978 area code, but close to it. Have been getting calls every other day for a couple of weeks now. A couple of times I answered there was a man on the line with a very heavy accent so I couldn't understand what he was saying; something to the effect of 'me or someone asking about procedures of going back to school'; very strange. I had to hang up since he kept on talking, basically incoherently.
Here's how to stop them: contact the greater Boston bbb and the ag's office and complain about Diamond Plumbing & Heating, 2 Foley Drive, No. Reading, MA 01864 .
Have recently received calls from this number- when I answer the person hangs up and never speaks- the calls come in at all hours and certainly is a nuisance. I do not have a 978 area code but the next town .
I am in Reading, MA and we recently got a call from "Diamond Duct" offering $50 for a chimney sweep -- http://diamondductusa.com/. They said they were in the area and could even come by this afternoon... which was what tipped me off that something was fishy. I did some quick internet research and am certain that this is a scam. I contacted the local police and let them know this was happening in the area.
This number called my house this morning and asked for my 40 year old daughter that has not lived at home for maybe 20 years now. How did they possbly link her name to my number?
They said they were from a chimney service, but didn't give the name. When I told them they were buying a very outdated leads list the lady hung up
