I received another "Your computer is infected" scam call from this number. I let the man (who had a foreign accent) know he was a scam and told him to stop calling and hung up.
Normally, I post the caller id information. However, because I suspect it may be spoofed, I will *not* post the individual's name that came up, lest I name an innocent 3rd party.
As an aide, I wish there was some sort of category for this type of call, or an "other" option... none of the other call types seem appropriate.
Received a call from 9898929649 and the man with Indian accent said he was calling from Windows Technical department about my computer. I told him I don't have a computer and he hung up.
So they arrived Switzerland :-(
Today got a call from this number. The guy with a foreign accent told me he'd call me from Windows. My Computer would be infected by a virus and would crash. This he told me at least 5 oder 6 times. He said he had the license key and wanted to help me. "Are you in front of your Computer?" "Do you see the Keyboard. Do you see a key on the left side that says C T R L, Control?" "What do you see on your Keyboard? ... Then he began again with my computer would crash, when I asked him waht he wanted.
Yes - after THEY put a virus on your machine. NEVER let a cold caller have access to your computer!! They are NOT affiliated with Microsoft, no matter what they say. They can NOT see what is on your computer unless you allow it!
