Okay so I got a phone call yesterday from "american advantage" american wholesale frangrance company and today i got a call from "world wide" american whole sale fragrance company
american advantage said they were located on gravois and heege and world wide is located at gravois and 270 so they are changing there name and location daily to scam people PLEASE BEWARE!
Got a call from "April" today wanting me to come in for an interview this afternoon to a place that's over 60 miles from my house (Gravois Road). She told me that she would want me to start right away and that the pay would be between 30 and 40 thousand a year to start for an "Office Manager" after 90 days of training. I am so happy to have found this discussion and not wasted my time and gas money driving all the way down there just to be scammed. She talked really fast but I did catch that the name of the company was Advantage.
I also visited the Gravois office. Not only did they cram 5-6 people into a room waiting for the "interview" but they had music blaring so loud it was downright distracting! During the 5 minute speech I heard, I tried to ask questions and she kept saying "that would be covered in the second interview". Not only that, the office looked like someone just dumped old boxes, files and desks and placed them around to look like an office. I smelled scam the minute walked in. Pathetic losers, taking advantage of people that way. Shame on them! Don't get scammed; walk away.
I just wanted to add some new info. I've been doing hard-core job searching lately and answered a bunch of ads of Craig's list. I was delighted when the very next day I had two messages on my phone. Yay! Success...or not so much. When I called back to schedule my interviews, I thought it was odd that both women said nearly the same thing: Office manager position, in charge of opening and closing the office, will train, great attitude, 9am-5pm M-F job. Both women also told me to bring a "hard copy of my resume." One told me to dress "business casual" and the other said "formal." I'll admit, I haven't done many interviews, but why would they tell me what to wear? That just didn't make sense! SO, I did some googling and wouldn't you know? A bunch of scam stories. One place called itself "World Wide" and I spoke with "Jessie." The other called itself "American Advantage" and I spoke with "Rashida" and "April." Both are located on Gravois, one by Heege and the other by S. Lindberg.
I just got the same call from American Advantage. No experience necessary - starting pay $35,000 to $45,000. Same number 314-657-0980...... SCAM.......
