I got this same scam call from Sterling, Va. ... Idiot didn't identify who he was calling for, and even though he said it was a "time-sensitive" matter and that I should call back as soon as I received the call, he didn't leave a call back number; had to get it off my caller ID. When I called the number back, it cut off after several rings - no voice mail. Same badge number and name given - Jonathan Knight, Badge #06719. Computerized voice, sounded like he was from India.
My wife got the same call, as did my mother (who lives a half hour away from us). "Jonathan Knight", who sounds like he's from the Middle East. My wife challenged him by asking him questions like, "OK, what's my birth year?" He couldn't answer her simple question, so he hung up.

also claimed to be Jonathon Knight for me but sounded more like a Mohammad Abdhul. I fukedw a complaint witb the FCC. received a similar call, soon after from a different number clean sweep on money for fraudulent access with you and I are s. Seriously, does anyone fall for this crap?.
2nd time we've gotten a call from Jonathon Knight. It came up on the caller ID early this morning (before legal business hours) 571-210-5961 from Sterling, Iowa. First time (a couple weeks ago) he said we needed a lawyer and that an arrest warrant had been issued. Early this morning he said again he was from the IRS and accused us of tax fraud - said something to the effect of tax fraud and arrest warrent - 00-3636. Said he was officer Jonathon Knight, badge number 46719 and the charge was check fraud #3. Husband called back the number and then he said he was from Homeland Security. He could barely speak English and when I laughed on the phone listening to the conversation with my husband, he told me to s*** his d***. My home # has been registered on the do not call list for over 10 years and I'm sick and tired of getting stupid phone calls like this or others (such as numerous calls informing us that our Microsoft account has been hacked). I've reported all to the FCC, but it doesn't seem to matter.
Broken English male voice claimed to be Jonathan Knight from the IRS saying i needed to call about my fraudulent tax return. A female voice in perfect English aid "good bye".
First, the IRS will always send you a letter in an official IRS Envelope. If things are about to get serious, they will send it registered, telling you what they are about to do. If you don't respond they will take the action mentioned in the registered letter or an agent from a local office will contact you and setup an appointment for you to at his office. If it's criminal, they will pay you a visit at your home or visit and they will have credentials.
