I got this same scam call from Sterling, Va. ... Idiot didn't identify who he was calling for, and even though he said it was a "time-sensitive" matter and that I should call back as soon as I received the call, he didn't leave a call back number; had to get it off my caller ID. When I called the number back, it cut off after several rings - no voice mail. Same badge number and name given - Jonathan Knight, Badge #06719. Computerized voice, sounded like he was from India.

•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
I received the same call yesterday 3/2/15 so I called back and he told me I had a warrant out for my arrest for tax fraud - he ran through his whole schpil and I told him to just send me the information in the mail and then he hung up. I just love when these foreigners thing we are all so stupid as to fall for this crap!!!
I got a call from Frank Jones (his last name was probably Patel or something). Said I filed fraudulent taxes and there was an arrest warrant out for me. It was at 7:20AM. I listened for a couple minutes and then told him I needed to get to work,so they can just come arrest me whenever. He originally had my address from when I was married 25 years ago. What morons!
I agree with B - some old lady is going to get scammed. Let's have our government do something about this!
Got a call from 571-210-5961 from a Jonathan Knight from the IRS saying the IRS was suing us for tax fraud. Sterling Virginia was the place the call came from. I noticed someone else got a call from a Jonathon Knight also. Told me to have my lawyer call him. (Gave a badge # 46719)
