I got this same scam call from Sterling, Va. ... Idiot didn't identify who he was calling for, and even though he said it was a "time-sensitive" matter and that I should call back as soon as I received the call, he didn't leave a call back number; had to get it off my caller ID. When I called the number back, it cut off after several rings - no voice mail. Same badge number and name given - Jonathan Knight, Badge #06719. Computerized voice, sounded like he was from India.
Got a call on my Grandmothers phone, said the same stuff, horrible English, gave some badge number, said we had fraudulent taxes. Hung up before the recording could finish.
Just got a scam call from this number claiming to be from IRS. It was this Indian guy calling himself John Smith. I tell you, unless he was adopted by some English speaking parents, given his thick Indian accent and the fact that his reading of whatever script he was gives, was barely understandable - He was no John Smith from IRS!
Got the same call with same script from Jonathan Knight. It did frighten me.Glad comments were posted here. I am alarmed people feel they can do this to America's work force. Horrible.
