I got this same scam call from Sterling, Va. ... Idiot didn't identify who he was calling for, and even though he said it was a "time-sensitive" matter and that I should call back as soon as I received the call, he didn't leave a call back number; had to get it off my caller ID. When I called the number back, it cut off after several rings - no voice mail. Same badge number and name given - Jonathan Knight, Badge #06719. Computerized voice, sounded like he was from India.
I get phone calls at least twice a month from the same foreigner, can barely speak English. States that he is from Microsoft and that my PC has errors on it. For $100.00 he can fix this. It is always the same guy, I recognize the voice, but from several different phone numbers. Guess he moves around a lot. This may be one of his numbers. I sure would like this to stop.
I received two calls from this number within two hours of each other....John Knight as referenced in multiple messages above. I let the call go to voice mail so did not have to suffer through the painful discussions others did as posted above. Interesting note, "John Knight" didn't even wait for my outbound message to finish, just started talking. So concerned about scamming someone he didn't even have the patience to wait.
