FTP - No idea who they are or what they do....but they are not calling for any legit reason, its a cold call.
An EXTREMELY rude and whiny (it was almost comical) lady called today and asked for John. We have (withing the C-Level alone) 6 Johns. I asked which John she needed.
"Well, the owner of the company."
Red Flag #1 - She doesn't know who she is calling. I answer the phone for a holding company, so there are at least 8 different "owners".
I told her I answer the phone for several companies, and asked her which one was she referring to?
Red Flag #2 - She SLAUGHTERED the name of the company (it's phonetic, and not hard at all), which usually means she has no legit business.
The call was for a sales rep to come to the office the next day to discuss charge card processing.
I was polite and just said no thank you once and she continued and on the second no thank you she just hung up. The company rep was not professional.
They're back!!! Like in a bad horror movie -- Crescent has resurfaced! Unfortunately, it's apparent that it's next to impossible to kill these cockroaches... How I hate to spend my days at work answering calls from these rude telemarketers...
What will my game-plan for the day be? Maybe I'll play with them and make them feel like they are actually going to get a sale?
Nicole called from Future (something) Financials and asked for the owner. She said it's regarding some information they sent on merchant services. Told her we're not interested and hung up.
