FTP - No idea who they are or what they do....but they are not calling for any legit reason, its a cold call.
An EXTREMELY rude and whiny (it was almost comical) lady called today and asked for John. We have (withing the C-Level alone) 6 Johns. I asked which John she needed.
"Well, the owner of the company."
Red Flag #1 - She doesn't know who she is calling. I answer the phone for a holding company, so there are at least 8 different "owners".
I told her I answer the phone for several companies, and asked her which one was she referring to?
Red Flag #2 - She SLAUGHTERED the name of the company (it's phonetic, and not hard at all), which usually means she has no legit business.
856 295-9713 located in New Jersey seem to be affiliated with LeadBolt.com a smart phone ads company. I think these may be the culprits that send me multiple ads daily to my phone. My guess is they are affiliated with Zynga. I went to http://opt.leadbolt.com/ and they want my cell phone IMEI/MEID # to opt out. I want to be rid of these ads but don't know enough about what they can do with my IMEI/MEID # to share that info, or would they already have it? Does anyone know the best way to get rid of these guys or what risk does sharing your MEI/MEID # pose?
They call every single day and sometimes several times a day. They don't get the whole not interested thing. The next time they call I'm going to blow an air horn into the phone. Once they regain their hearing in their blown out ear perhaps they will realize mine is not a number they should call anymore.
