FTP - No idea who they are or what they do....but they are not calling for any legit reason, its a cold call.
An EXTREMELY rude and whiny (it was almost comical) lady called today and asked for John. We have (withing the C-Level alone) 6 Johns. I asked which John she needed.
"Well, the owner of the company."
Red Flag #1 - She doesn't know who she is calling. I answer the phone for a holding company, so there are at least 8 different "owners".
I told her I answer the phone for several companies, and asked her which one was she referring to?
Red Flag #2 - She SLAUGHTERED the name of the company (it's phonetic, and not hard at all), which usually means she has no legit business.
An uneducated, ghetto woman asked "may I speak to an owner of the bidness." Yes, she said bidness. Then she asked for a co-owner. Wouldn't that still be an owner? I always say no and if i can take a message when I get telemarketers that don't introduce themselves because thy are trying to sell something I don't need. No message left and. Hang up.
Caller ID says FPT
This number called the company I work for, asked for the owner. I explained he was busy and I could help them we anything they needed. I asked if they were trying to sell or promote something. They denied they were and asked for the owner again. I politely asked to take their number and have him call back. Before I was able to finish my sentence she had already hung up on me. Don't bother with this number, completely rude and unprofessional.
The rude woman asked for the owner and when I said they weren't in she hung up before I could utter another word. Same as all the other reports I've read. They haven't called back surprisingly but I've warned all my employees to harass them right back if they call again. I've armed myself with a 40 minute loop of the "most annoying noise in the world" from dumb and dumber to play for them if they should call back >:D
And again, they call. This time a person was on the line..."can I speak to the owner of the bidness." I must have gotten the same lady as Marty (above). "bidness". She must have had a cold, right? Yeah, we'll say it was a cold.
So, I called back and got this message:
"The person at extension 7999 is unavailable. Sorry, but the users mailbox is full and can't accept more messages."
