FTP - No idea who they are or what they do....but they are not calling for any legit reason, its a cold call.
An EXTREMELY rude and whiny (it was almost comical) lady called today and asked for John. We have (withing the C-Level alone) 6 Johns. I asked which John she needed.
"Well, the owner of the company."
Red Flag #1 - She doesn't know who she is calling. I answer the phone for a holding company, so there are at least 8 different "owners".
I told her I answer the phone for several companies, and asked her which one was she referring to?
Red Flag #2 - She SLAUGHTERED the name of the company (it's phonetic, and not hard at all), which usually means she has no legit business.
telemarketers need to get a real job. When you are working you Earn a living instead of worrying the ones of us who are!!!They just change numbers and call over and over.I don't answer and don't buy anything over the phone or give out information so wear your phone out if you like!!
Crescent Processing has been trying to get their slimy tentacles on my money since I started my small biz 4 years ago. I must be on their "leads" list, b/c I've had the sad misfortune of having to sit through Terry Bradshaw's infomercial on 2 separate occasions. I told both salesmen that Terry Bradshaw and all this talk of Texas doesn't give a business any credibility in Jersey, baby. It's actually a HUGE RED FLAG that has "Scheisster" written all over it. Same drill both times, where the salesman gets on the phone with his "manager", b/c he needs help dealing with me ( I'm not interested and am very firm about it). Both times, the salesmen struck me as desperate down-on-their-luck types, corporate layoffs, probably. They're right up there with the electric bill scammers and light bulb salesmen, I can spot them as soon as they walk in the door. No matter how many different numbers they call me from, I still won't deal with them. Advice: Only deal with your bank. Do you think someone walking in off the street is actually there to HELP? It's called Multi-Level Marketing. A pyramid scam. They're looking for another sucker, don't be one.
They called and asked for the owner. My first comment was "this number is on the do not call list" I then explained that the owner wears hearing aids and does not talk on the phone. She hung up on me.....
