I almost got scammed on this too.  First when i got the fax i called and spoke with a guy.  he said existing condition will be declined is cancer  only.  So i agreed to buy it.  Then i realized right away that this can not be true. He kept asking for my checking account number and i declined to give out to him and he was not too happy that i declined him. But i gave him my credit card number though ( stupid me ). How can this be legit when the guy did not even ask for my social security number..but insisted on getting checking account number.  15 mins after i hung up the phone with him i called back to cancel. He did say will do that.   Then i called my bank to close the credit card account and issue a new number.  

2 weeks later i recieved the card and a book with name "National Alliance of Assoications" It looks legit guys...but it is not an insurance card it is like a discount card like when you are a member of certain organization you get a discount of the service.  

anyway i don't believe it it is legit.  By the way they could not charge to my credit card though.  

For those of you that got the cards if i were you i would not even try to use it because it won't work.  The clinic or the hospital will not able to get a hold of them anyway.

The person who wrote the message above works for the family who runs this scam.  They send faxes touting cheap health insurance and get naïve or dumb people to let them take an “advance premium” payment from their checking account—and then they ignore these victims’ calls OR eventually send tem a card that no health provider or center will accept.   The Phoenizx AZ BBB is cooperating with the police to try to close them down, but they need more complaints, so if you’ve received their endless spam faxes—or worse, if you’ve been ripped off by them—I urge you to context the BBB immediately([email protected]).  The scam is run by a family who lives at 3810 Swan Lane, Phoenix AZ 85001--and calls the “company “Group Health.”)  

In addition, don’t call any of their numbers (including the ones they say will remove you from their database but which actually put you on to their other mail, fax, and phone spam list).  Their phone numbers include 800-618-0717 and 866-377-1988.  Their fake “Fax Removal” Numbers include 866-486-9743, and 866-793-7480.  Do NOT call any of these!

GraRan:   You've been badly duped and ripped off.  There's no "president" and no man named "Tom."  All there is at the other end is a family who hires dirt-cheap cold-callers.  And if they were already able to get money out of you and then they recognize your phone number on their caller ID, they will either tell you that they'll get back to you (which they never do) or divert your call to a phone that is off the hook (so it's always busy).  You won't get any money back from them, nor will you get any health insurance.  I urge you to see a lawyer immediately.  And please write to the Phoenix AZ Better Business Bureau([email protected]'s been trying to help us close this guy down--and tell them what happened.

"Jackson" is a plant (a friend of the scammers).  They do NOT send our genuine insurance cards or policies, and they would rather die than refund a penny.  If they've ripped you off, don't waste time fighting with them r waiting for a refund.  Call the Phoenix, AZ police, and write to the Phoenix Better Business Bureau (([email protected]).

RE:  TCPA COMPLAINT (Multiple UNSOLICITED FAXES)

To Whom It May Concern:

Over the past three months, I have received more than a dozen faxes from a company that seems to be named Group Healthcare.  Enclosed are the two most recent ones that I received on Thursday (11/8) and Friday (11/9).  They get faxed to my  fax machine:  [FILL IN YOUR FAX NUMBER HERE.]

I never invited, asked for, or gave permission (via phone or fax) for this sender to send me any information or faxes.  The sender is breaking the law, and thus, I request that the Commission take appropriate action against the sender for violating the TCPA laws.

Moreover, if you look at on of the online sites that report “scam artists” (e.g., http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-618-0717), you’ll see that this sender has sent uninvited, unwanted illegal faxes to many people, who don’t know what to do to stop them.    Every time they fax something, they put a different phone number to call on it and yet another different number to call to supposedly get one’s fax number removed from their database.  So when people call to get their fax number removed, they remove it from one of their phone numbers and add it to all their other lists.  [Unfortunately, some naïve people were duped into applying for the “insurance” they offer and gave them access to their checking account, only to find out that money had been taken out and nothing was being sent to them.  See their tales of woe at http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-856-374-1599/2]

I did internet searches of their phone numbers and discovered that they share them all with another group—the “National Alliance for Associations”—so these two entities must be the same.   Their address is 141 Ganttown Road, Suite D, Turnersville, NJ   08012.  The phone numbers they have used include:  856-374-1599, 856-374-8665, 800-618-0717, 800-615-1174, 800-849-0915, 800-853-3593, 866-377-1988, 866-486-9743, 866-793-7480, 888-674-4629, and 888-726-9440.

Again, please take appropriate action against Group Healthcare/ National Alliance for Associations for violating the TCPA laws protecting me from the use of a telephone facsimile machine, computer, or other device that sends unsolicited advertisements to my facsimile machine.   Thank you.
