We don't even have credit cards. When it asked to push 1 to be transferred to a representative, I did so and simply said, "How do I get removed from your call list?"...they hung up. I called back and got a recording that said, "Thank you for calling back. To be removed from this list press 1 (again) which I did. I do not expect to stop receiving these calls. If anyone knows what I need to do to get them to stop, I'm all over it.
REMOVE THIS NUMBER FROM YOUR CALL CENTER IMMEDIATELY. WE ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST AND THEY CONSISTENTLY CALL AND LEAVE MESSAGES BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO GET BACK TO THEM.
some comments have some good info about who they are and how to do a complaint.....when i am home and have time , i answer and say ''yes'' to everything they ask.....then i ask them to repeat everything...i do this several times while saying '' yes yes i do need some help now let me have you tell me once more about it ''------usually they transfer me to a Super and i screw w/them a few secs then say---''hey you all get paid on getting afirmation from calls so i wasted 10 mins of your time and cost you money , why not remove me cause i will do this song/dance every flipping time out of the chute buckaroo ''------------------it hasnt stopped but i used to get 1/2 a day and now i get one a wk and when i answer , they hang up......i think when i transferred a balance from a Visa card to a new zero interest Discover is when i started getting these calls.
I am also on the Do Not Call list, but these people do no care. I have also asked to be removed from their list, but they don't care. They are very annoying!! Is there no way to stop them?
I have been getting these calls for MONTHS, at a rate of a least 2 a week, the last one just a few minutes ago. They LIE in their Intro speech and say that I have ignored their "repeated attempts to contact me by mail". I have been on the Do Not Call List for years, renewing every few years. WHY CAN THESE CALLS NOT BE STOPPED? I have reported these calls before but NOTHING is done. I am sick of it and am getting very PO'd. I thought that these people could be prosecuted but I never ever hear of this ever happening. CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO STOP THIS HARRASSMENT?
