Yes ! Nova Scotia ... they called today ..... many other numbers of the same. Usually saying they work for Microsoft and found a virus on my computer. Imagine ... Microsoft calling little 'ole me lol
What they are doing is illegal and you are supposed to report it to LE
I also had a call from this number today. Despite being on the do not call list my calls like this one have increased, so too have the "no name or availble number."
I'm also in Ontario and answered the call a few minutes ago. It was from a weight loss company asking to do a survey. The automated message also said pressing "9" would remove me from the list. It was an invalid selection. I tried other numbers but that started the survey. I will try the "#" button next time as suggested above. Great timing to call at lunch to see if you want help with your weight.
Just got call from this number, no message nothing sound like someone is listening on the other end. Tried to call it back and they tell me it's not in service? How can an out of service number call you?
I listened to the start of the call. It's a recorded message regarding a "survey". The 971 area code is from Oregon. I tried a reverse look-up on the number, but nothing was found. I tried calling the number back, but according to the telephone company, the number is no longer in service.
I got the weight loss company survey too. I hit pound repeatedly and tried calling back but the call could not be connected.
I am on the do not call list in the US and Canada. Oh well, I'll leave it for the answering machine next time! ;)
