A man with a thick middle east accent called stating I had a tax rebate bonus of almost the exact amount I am due to get back this year and he needed to know my account number so he could deposit it. I could not understand him and asked him to repeat himself, he then proceeded to ask me if I sent all my calls to voicemail because he had been trying to reach me for 2 weeks and again asked for my account information to deposit my tax bonus.
They keep calling and saying that i have a 500 dollar tax rebat coming and that they need my account #s when i told that i would love to hear more and that i was a police officer they stopped calling for a few days, then yesterday a 4 number one came up as 1115 and it was the same guy he said he was the senior vice pres of the company and that he was sorry for any inconvenience they have caused me and that i will be removed from there calling list and that i will not be awarded the 500 so they havnt called since then. so just beware that they use wierd numbers to call,
This guy with a really thick Indian accent called saying he was calling from GE Electricity in Connecticut. Said he was doing a survey on smoke detectors. So, having nothing better to do I answered a couple questions about whether or not I had them, etc. At the end he said thanks and that I might win some prize or something, then we hung up.
He did say at the beginning 'this is not a scam'. I didn't really see the harm in it, but it certainly was random and it's suspicious that so many others have gotten scam calls from this number. I'll post again if they call back trying to get personal or bank info from me.

...i joked around with him a lot because it seemed like a scam so i fooled around with him
then i told him i didnt want the service
...he called me back telling me that he was fired by his boss because i used fowl language and he said my desicion on if i wanted to get the plan or not decided on if he would be fired. and i told him i didnt want it and i started singin gospel music and he told me that i made him so angry that he wanted to squash me so hard so i would die..he kept saying my address and that he was going to come to my house tomorrow and that he was going to kill me.... realli creppi
